Is your milk A2/A2?

Garry’s Meadow Fresh Jersey Milk was asked to participate in a Purdue Research project and we are excited to share that in 2016 our milk was comprised of more than 60% A2/A2 Beta Casein.

We are successfully continuing our efforts to increase this percentage each year through selective breeding and we are now nearing 75% A2/A2 Beta Casein.

Why is your milk not certified organic?

We are not certified organic because we will not compromise our brand, the quality of our product and the welfare of our Ladies. We would rather rely on our transparency and our integrity in regards to how we farm and most importantly how we care for our cows.

In regards to feed we do not use chemicals on our pastures. We do not use any growth hormones like r-BST. Our girls are given the best life we can provide and if circumstances arise that compromise the health and well-being of our cows, and in particular, our baby calves, then treatment is administered.

Do you have other certifications?

Garry’s Meadow Fresh is the only producer of the Trademarked Queen of Quality and All-Jersey Milk in the State of Oregon.

Bull Calves

Our bull calves are important too. We raise these guys with our future milk making heifers. We sell our bull calves either for breeding purposes or for the production of mature lean beef.

If you are interested in raising your own beef we currently have jersey bull calves for sale. Jerseys are smaller than beef cattle making them ideal for smaller pastures and quicker to reach mature weight. Please email us at Info@ladylanefarm.com if you are interested.
